Believe it or not, a game brain is a good thing! Students' passion and skill for popular video games can launch their career interests and skill development beginning in elementary school and continuing through middle and high school into college and beyond. Educators can tap into youth excitement to unlock limitless creativity and build the foundational skills in the software tools of their future.

At Cleverlike Studios, we empower students to climb a video game skill tree for career development through a well-planned, scaffolded approach. Each activity is an engaging project that teaches new skills for leveraging video games as creative tools in education while also building essential skills for a successful future in the digital world. They will move from game based learning to game based creation!

The platform is designed to grow with students over time. Early exposure starts in familiar environments like Minecraft, while middle and high school learners branch into more sophisticated tools and disciplines. By the time they reach graduation, students don’t just understand game environments, they know how to shape them.

Beyond game development, skills such as coding, 3D modeling, and AI can be developed within the video game ecosystem. With Cleverlike, you can access online learning modules centered on developing essential creative skills. Each new skill empowers students with exciting new options for using their favorite video game as a storytelling platform to get engrossed in demonstrating their understanding.

These lay the foundation for fulfilling careers across a wide range of industries and disciplines such as cybersecurity, fashion, architecture, automotive, and entertainment.

For example, students learn how to design a Minecraft skin using an industry-standard tool. The ability to introduce custom characters into the Minecraft world opens many connections to core curriculum studies while they become more familiar with the tools and concepts that are shaping the future of communication through immersive experiences.

To equip educators to teach these new skills with confidence, Cleverlike School offers the Game Brain™ Certified Educator Program. Teachers receive a full year of resources, software tools, and professional development. No matter their technical background, teachers can help students connect video games with meaningful academic and career pathways.

Game Brain prepares students for future success with professional software tools by scaffolding these skills starting as early as second grade. Students that have been using Game Brain to develop their skills will be more engaged in school and better prepared for authentic career experiences. Curated learning content is included for:

  • Minecraft Education

  • Roblox

  • Fortnite (Unreal Editor for Fortnite)
