Build Battles elevate the competition with a synchronous, head-to-head format. Teams join a shared virtual arena and compete in real-time against the clock, and each other, to complete a build prompt. This format fosters urgency, excitement, and intense collaboration. It is the ultimate test of a team's ability to plan strategically, communicate effectively, and adapt on the fly under pressure.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Research & Information Literacy: Students gather and apply information to ensure their builds are accurate and detailed.
Planning & Project Management: Students learn to translate an idea into a concrete plan and execute it block-by-block.
Communication & Presentation Skills: Students practice articulating their creative process and justifying their design decisions.
Digital Citizenship: Students learn to use digital tools responsibly, understand the ethics of collaboration, and practice respectful communication within an esports context.
